Who we are
RowMinder (the "app") is published by Thuyen Nguyen, an individual based in Vietnam ("we"). Contact: rowminder@apporig.com.
In short
Your patterns, notes and counters stay on your device. The app has no accounts, no ads and no server of ours. We do not sell your data. We use a small set of services for anonymous usage statistics, crash reports and purchases, described below.
What stays on your device
The following is stored only on your device and is not sent to us:
- PDFs and photos you import, and the pages of your patterns;
- counters, ruler positions, markings, notes, bookmarks and yarn entries;
- text recognized from your patterns.
Text recognition runs on your device with Apple Vision. The app opens files only through the system picker for the files you choose. The camera is used only if you tap Scan or add a yarn label photo; those photos stay on your device.
Backups
You can create a backup file and save it where you choose, for example Files or iCloud Drive. If you choose iCloud Drive, Apple stores the file under Apple's terms. With automatic backup (Pro), the app writes backup files to iCloud Drive, or to the app folder on your iPhone if iCloud is not available. Your device may also be included in your own iCloud device backup. We never receive these files.
Anonymous statistics and crash reports
We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. We do not use the advertising identifier and we do not ask to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Analytics events describe actions in the app, such as creating a project (and from where), importing a file that failed, adding a counter, opening the paywall, or creating a backup. They never include project names, pattern text, notes or file names. Firebase may also process technical data such as an app instance identifier, app and iOS version, device model, language and approximate region. Crashlytics receives crash traces and device state at the time of a crash.
You can turn this off in Settings with "Send anonymous statistics". In the European Economic Area, analytics stays off until you agree.
Purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple. We never see your card details or Apple ID. We use Adapty to check whether you have Pro. Adapty receives an anonymous profile identifier, your purchase and subscription status, and technical data about the app and device. We do not link purchases to your name or email.
Service providers and transfers
Google (Firebase), Adapty and Apple act as service providers for the purposes above and may process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Each handles data under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep data
Local data stays on your device until you delete it or delete the app. Analytics and crash data are kept by the providers under their retention settings and are not used to identify you.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, to object to processing and to withdraw consent. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising.
Because there are no accounts, we usually cannot tie analytics data to a person. Write to rowminder@apporig.com and we will help as far as we can, and answer within 30 days.
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we publish the new version here and update the legal version date above. The English version applies.
